EVTEKS 2008

June 25th, 2008 Posted in myHomeTravel

I recently attended the EVTEKS 2008, the second largest home textile fair in the world at the CNR Expo Center in Istanbul, Turkey. This event brings together leading home textile manufacturers and buyers from around the world. Products on display included home fabrics like curtains and upholstery, bed and bath fashions, table linens, floor coverings and rugs. The highlight of the fair? Trend forums and design seminards conducted by design bigwigs Gunnar Frank, Defne Koz, Catherine Rouget, Karim Rashid and Fulvio Alvisi. Find out more about this year’s top design trends in the October issue of My Home! More on the fair and what the designers had to say next week!

The Grand Bazaar (or Kapali Carsi) is Turkey’s largest covered market. Aside from exquisite jewelry (and counterfeit goods!), one can find a great assortment of Turkish carpets, pottery, tiles, brassware and a whole lot of other things that are perfect for your home!
